How to Fish the KVD Finesse Spinnerbait

Steady Retrieve

A medium-speed straight retrieve is the easiest place to start.

Keep the blades turning and adjust your speed until you determine where the fish are positioned in the water column.

Slow Roll

Slow the bait down and allow it to run deeper.

This is useful around deeper grass edges, drop-offs and submerged structure.

Burn It

Increase retrieve speed and keep the spinnerbait higher in the water column.

Burning a compact spinnerbait can trigger aggressive reaction strikes when bass are actively chasing bait.

Stop & Go

Occasionally pause or briefly kill the bait during the retrieve.

The sudden change in speed causes the skirt and blades to react differently and can trigger a following fish.

The 3/8 oz. would be our starting point for most shallow Florida bass fishing, especially around vegetation. Move to the 1/2 oz. when you need additional casting distance, want to fish deeper or need better control in wind.

It's also a very good pond bait because you can cover a tremendous amount of water without presenting fish with an oversized lure.
