Shimano Curado DC Baitcasting Reel – Digital Control Casting Made Easy
The Shimano Curado DC Baitcasting Reel takes one of Shimano’s most trusted platforms and adds cutting-edge Digital Control (DC) braking technology to deliver smoother, longer, and more controlled casts. Designed for anglers who want performance without the frustration of backlashes, the Curado DC automatically adjusts braking in real time—so you can focus on fishing, not thumbing the spool.
At the core of the system is an onboard microcomputer that monitors spool speed up to 1,000 times per second, applying precise braking to maximize distance while minimizing overruns. Whether you’re skipping docks, bombing casts, or fishing into the wind, the Curado DC gives you unmatched control and confidence.
Built on the legendary Curado platform, this reel also features Shimano’s Hagane Body for rigidity, MicroModule gearing for smooth power transfer, and X-Ship technology for increased cranking efficiency under load.
