The Shimano Butterfly Flat-Fall Jig is a legendary offshore slow pitch jig built for anglers targeting deep-water saltwater predators with an irresistible falling action, powerful flash, and aggressive reaction strikes. Designed for vertical jigging and slow pitch presentations, the Flat-Fall Jig is a proven producer for grouper, snapper, amberjack, tuna, kingfish, swordfish, and other hard-fighting offshore species.
Its signature center-balanced body creates the famous horizontal fluttering fall that perfectly imitates a dying baitfish sinking through the water column. This unique action keeps the jig suspended in the strike zone longer, allowing predators more time to react and triggering violent bites from fish holding deep around reefs, wrecks, ledges, and offshore structure.
Built with Shimano’s premium full metal construction and highly reflective finishes, the Butterfly Flat-Fall Jig is designed to withstand repeated abuse from powerful fish while maximizing visibility in deep water and low-light conditions. Its balanced design allows anglers to work the jig effectively with short lifts, controlled drops, and precise vertical presentations.
Equipped for serious offshore jigging applications, the Flat-Fall is trusted by anglers worldwide for deep dropping, slow pitch jigging, and targeting suspended predators where traditional jigs often fail.
Whether you're dropping for grouper over ledges, targeting amberjack around wrecks, or working tuna and swordfish offshore, the Shimano Butterfly Flat-Fall Jig is built for anglers who demand results when the bite happens on the fall.
