Shimano Brutas Silver Nickel Fishing Pliers
The Shimano Brutas Silver Nickel Fishing Pliers are durable, corrosion-resistant fishing tools built for everyday use on the boat, at the dock or around the tackle bench.
Constructed from high-grade carbon steel, Brutas tools receive a double silver-nickel coating to increase corrosion resistance—an important advantage for anglers regularly fishing around saltwater. Shimano pairs that construction with comfortable dual-density handles designed to provide a secure grip even when your hands are wet.
Available in multiple sizes, the Brutas Long Nose Pliers give anglers the ability to choose the reach and leverage that best matches the way they fish.
Available Sizes
6" Long Nose Pliers — A compact, versatile option for general tackle work, hook removal and everyday freshwater or inshore fishing.
8" Long Nose Pliers — Provides additional reach and leverage while remaining manageable for general-purpose fishing use.
11" Long Nose Pliers — The longest option in the lineup, providing extra reach when working with larger fish or when additional distance from the hook is useful.
Shimano currently offers all three long-nose sizes in the Brutas Silver Nickel family.

Why Choose Brutas Pliers?
Fishing pliers spend their lives around water, bait, hooks and terminal tackle, so durability and grip matter.
Shimano builds the Brutas Silver Nickel tools from carbon steel with two layers of silver-nickel coating, giving the tool added protection against corrosion. The dual-density handles also provide better comfort and help resist slipping when wet.
The multiple long-nose sizes let anglers choose between a compact everyday tool and additional reach for larger fish and heavier applications.
Premier Tackle Take
The Brutas Pliers are a good everyday fishing tool without the price of premium aluminum pliers.
For most anglers, the 6" or 8" models make sense as general-purpose tackle-box or boat pliers. The 11" version is worth considering when you want extra reach for hook removal and larger fish.
For saltwater use, we'd still recommend rinsing and drying them after fishing. The silver-nickel coating improves corrosion resistance, but these are carbon-steel tools rather than inherently corrosion-proof pliers.
