Scientific Anglers Magnitude Textured Grand Slam Clear Float Fly Line

The Scientific Anglers Magnitude Textured Grand Slam Clear Float Fly Line is designed for saltwater fly anglers who need fast, accurate casts and dependable performance in demanding coastal conditions. Built for targeting species such as tarpon, permit, bonefish, redfish, and snook, this specialized floating line combines a powerful taper with advanced coating technology to help anglers deliver larger flies quickly and accurately.

Featuring Scientific Anglers' DuraCoat construction, EST+ slickness additive, and Shooting Texture running line, the Magnitude Textured Grand Slam is engineered for durability, efficient line shooting, and reduced friction through the rod guides. Its clear floating technology offers a choice between a 10-foot clear tip and a full-clear configuration, helping anglers adapt their presentations to different water conditions.

The short, powerful head is designed to load rods quickly, cut through wind, and turn over heavy saltwater flies and long leaders. Whether you're targeting redfish along shallow grass flats, snook around mangroves, or tarpon and permit on open flats, the Magnitude Textured Grand Slam Clear Float provides the performance needed for quick opportunities and demanding saltwater fishing.

• DuraCoat Construction: Advanced dual-polymer coating designed to optimize stiffness, slickness, and abrasion resistance while reducing line memory and tangling.

• EST+ Slickness Additive: Enhances durability and promotes smooth shooting through the rod guides.

• Shooting Texture Running Line: Designed to reduce friction and help anglers achieve longer casts.

• Grand Slam Taper: Features a short, powerful head for quick presentations to moving saltwater targets.

• Three-Quarter-Size-Heavy Design: Overweighted by 0.75 line sizes to help rods load quickly and turn over larger flies.

Best For

The Scientific Anglers Magnitude Textured Grand Slam Clear Float Fly Line is best suited for saltwater anglers who need a powerful, fast-loading line for larger flies and quick presentations. It is particularly useful for anglers targeting multiple saltwater species, including tarpon, permit, bonefish, redfish, and snook.

Premier Tackle Insight

In saltwater fly fishing, opportunities can happen quickly. A fish may appear within casting range for only a few seconds, leaving little time to make a false cast and build line speed. The Grand Slam taper is designed to help anglers load their rods quickly and deliver flies with authority.

The line is three-quarter-size heavy, so it carries more weight than a standard line of the same labeled weight. Scientific Anglers recommends using the designated line weight for your rod rather than automatically sizing down. However, rod action, casting style, fly size, and wind conditions can influence how the line feels and performs.

When selecting between the clear-tip and full-clear configurations, consider your fishing environment and visibility preferences. The clear-tip version features a 10-foot clear floating tip, while the full-clear version provides a clear floating line throughout for a more discreet presentation.
