Rainy's Colby's Pig Farm Shrimp Fly
The Rainy's Colby's Pig Farm Shrimp Fly is a realistic shrimp imitation designed to fool inshore predators that feed heavily on crustaceans. Created for fishing flats, marshes, bays, and shallow coastal waters, this proven pattern delivers lifelike movement and a natural profile that consistently draws strikes from fish cruising the bottom or hunting along grass edges.
Shrimp are one of the most important forage species throughout Florida's Gulf Coast, making the Pig Farm Shrimp an excellent choice whenever fish are keyed in on natural prey. Its balanced design lands softly, sinks naturally, and comes alive with short strips and subtle pauses, perfectly imitating a fleeing shrimp.
Whether you're sight fishing shallow grass flats, working oyster bars, or casting around mangrove shorelines, the Pig Farm Shrimp excels in situations where a quiet presentation and realistic action are critical. The fly's durable construction stands up to repeated eats while maintaining the profile and movement needed to keep producing throughout the day.
Florida fly anglers will find this pattern especially effective for redfish, snook, permit, juvenile tarpon, black drum, and speckled trout. It also performs well anywhere shrimp are a primary food source, making it a versatile addition to every saltwater fly box.
From clear-water flats to protected backcountry creeks, the Rainy's Colby's Pig Farm Shrimp Fly is a dependable producer that belongs in every inshore angler's rotation.
