Rainy's Colby's Mini Corona Toad Fly
The Rainy's Colby's Mini Corona Toad Fly is an exciting topwater frog imitation designed to trigger explosive strikes from aggressive freshwater predators. Built with a realistic frog profile and lifelike movement, this floating pattern excels around lily pads, grass mats, shoreline vegetation, and other heavy cover where frogs naturally become an easy meal.
When worked with short strips and pauses, the Mini Corona Toad creates an enticing surface disturbance that mimics the erratic movement of a fleeing frog. Its buoyant design allows it to remain high on the surface while producing the subtle action that often convinces even pressured fish to commit.
Perfect for warm-weather fishing, this pattern shines whenever bass are feeding aggressively in shallow water. Cast it along weed edges, over submerged vegetation, beneath overhanging trees, or into small openings in heavy cover where largemouth bass wait to ambush unsuspecting prey. It also makes an excellent choice for northern pike and other freshwater predators that regularly feed on amphibians.
The durable construction stands up to repeated strikes while maintaining the profile and action needed to keep producing throughout the day. Whether you're fishing ponds, lakes, rivers, or backwater sloughs, the Rainy's Colby's Mini Corona Toad Fly delivers the heart-pounding surface eats that make topwater fly fishing so addictive.
