The PENN Special Senator 4/0 113H2 Conventional Reel is one of the most recognizable offshore reels ever built. First introduced as part of the Senator family in 1936, the Senator has earned its reputation through decades of dependable service for trolling, bottom fishing and heavy saltwater applications.

Built as a rugged star drag conventional reel, the 113H2 uses a low 3.3:1 gear ratio to provide the cranking power needed when pulling hard-fighting fish away from reefs, wrecks and bottom structure.

PENN equips the Special Senator with its proven HT-100 drag system, providing smooth drag performance under heavy loads with up to 20 pounds of maximum drag.

Inside, a marine-grade bronze main gear and stainless steel pinion gear provide the durability required for saltwater use. Stainless steel frame rings reinforce the classic Senator sideplates to help reduce frame flex under load, while a machined and anodized aluminum spool combines strength with dependable line capacity.

With capacity for approximately 925 yards of 50 lb braid, 750 yards of 65 lb braid or 650 yards of 80 lb braid, the 4/0 Senator has plenty of capacity for a wide range of offshore applications.
