OWNER Offset Shank Wide Gap Worm Hooks

The OWNER Offset Shank Wide Gap Worm Hook is a heavy-duty soft-plastic hook designed for larger baits, weedless rigging and bass fishing around demanding cover.

Its extra-wide gap provides additional clearance for soft plastics to collapse during the strike, while the 90-degree offset shoulder helps keep the head of the bait securely positioned on the hook.

OWNER combines that versatile soft-plastic profile with an XX-strong shank, giving anglers the additional strength needed when fishing heavier tackle around grass, vegetation and structure.

Extra-Wide Gap

The extra-wide gap is the biggest difference between this hook and OWNER's standard Offset Shank Worm Hook.

The additional clearance accommodates larger and bulkier soft plastics, while allowing the bait to compress away from the hook point when a bass strikes.

That makes it an excellent choice for larger worms, soft-plastic jerkbaits and other baits that benefit from more hook clearance.

90° Bait-Holding Shoulder

OWNER uses a pronounced 90-degree offset shoulder to help secure the head of the soft plastic.

Once properly rigged, the shoulder keeps the bait aligned while allowing the hook point to be positioned back into the plastic for a clean, weedless presentation.

XX-Strong Shank

The heavy-duty XX-strong shank gives the Offset Wide Gap considerably more backbone for fishing around cover.

OWNER specifically designed the hook for rigging bigger baits and pulling bass from heavy cover, making it a natural choice when you're fishing heavier tackle and need more strength than a conventional worm hook provides.

Cutting Point®

OWNER equips the Offset Shank Wide Gap with its Cutting Point® technology for fast, efficient penetration.

Combined with the heavy-duty shank, it gives bass anglers a hook designed to penetrate effectively and withstand the pressure required to move fish away from cover.

Why Choose the OWNER Offset Wide Gap?

This hook sits in a useful position between a traditional offset worm hook and an extreme heavy-cover hook.

Compared with OWNER's standard Offset Shank Worm Hook, you get more gap for larger plastics and a heavier XX-strong shank for putting additional pressure on fish around cover.

At the same time, it doesn't go as far as the 4X-strong OWNER Jungle Wide Gap we just did.

That makes the Offset Wide Gap an excellent everyday heavy-duty wide-gap hook for bass anglers.

Premier Tackle Take

The OWNER Offset Shank Wide Gap is a particularly versatile hook for Florida bass fishing.

We'd use it for Texas-rigged plastics, fluke-style jerkbaits and larger worms around hydrilla, grass, docks and other cover where you want more strength than a standard worm hook without automatically stepping all the way up to the 4X Jungle Wide Gap.

It's a very useful middle ground: more clearance for bigger plastics, more strength for cover, but still versatile enough for everyday soft-plastic fishing.
