OWNER Jungle Wide Gap Hooks

The OWNER Jungle Wide Gap Hook is a 4X-strong heavy-cover bass hook built for big soft plastics, heavy braided line and the kind of vegetation and structure where lighter hooks can be pushed beyond their limits.

Made from OWNER's high-strength Zo Wire, the Jungle Wide Gap combines serious hook strength with a wide-gap profile that gives bulky soft plastics plenty of room to collapse during the strike.

The hook point rides slightly above the eye, allowing soft plastics to be rigged weedless for fishing flipping baits, creature baits, swimbaits and other plastics through demanding cover.

4X Strong Zo Wire Construction

Strength is the defining feature of the Jungle Wide Gap.

OWNER builds this hook from Zo Wire and rates it 4X Strong, specifically designing it for heavy braided line and larger baits.

That makes it particularly well suited to Florida bass fishing, where pulling a largemouth out of hydrilla, pads and thick vegetation can require considerably more pressure than an open-water presentation.

Wide Gap for Big Soft Plastics

The wide-gap design provides the clearance needed for larger and bulkier soft plastics.

Creature baits, flipping plastics and swimbaits have room to compress during a strike, helping expose the hook point and produce a solid hookset.

True Weedless Rigging

OWNER positions the hook point slightly above the eye, creating a true weedless configuration when properly rigged with a soft plastic.

That makes the Jungle Wide Gap a natural choice for working plastics through grass and other areas where an exposed hook would constantly collect vegetation.

Forged for Heavy Cover

The Jungle Wide Gap features a forged shank for additional strength and OWNER's Silky Gray frictionless finish, designed to encourage easier hook penetration.

Everything about the hook is geared toward fishing larger baits on heavier tackle.

Why Choose the OWNER Jungle Wide Gap?

The Jungle Wide Gap is for situations where a standard EWG-style hook isn't enough.

You're getting the clearance needed for bulky plastics, but with a substantially heavier 4X-strong Zo Wire construction designed to handle braided line and aggressive hooksets around heavy cover.

If you're fishing lighter plastics in open water, you probably don't need this much hook. But when you're throwing a substantial soft plastic into the thick stuff and planning to pull a big bass out on heavy braid, that's exactly what the Jungle Wide Gap was designed to do.

Premier Tackle Take

The OWNER Jungle Wide Gap is an excellent match for Florida heavy-cover bass fishing.

With our hydrilla, pads and thick vegetation, there are plenty of situations where you're fishing heavy braid and need to get a bass moving immediately after the hookset.

That's where the combination of 4X strength, Zo Wire, a forged shank and a wide gap for larger plastics makes sense. We'd use it for flipping bulky creature baits, larger worms and weedless swimbaits when strength is more important than finesse.
