MGM 5' Minnow Dipping Net
The MGM 5' Minnow Dipping Net gives anglers the extra reach needed to quickly scoop live bait from bait tanks, livewells, holding pens and docks.
With its 5-foot handle, this net is particularly useful when bait is difficult to reach with a standard short-handled bait net. Whether you're grabbing pilchards, threadfins, pinfish or other live bait, the extended handle lets you reach the bait without leaning excessively over the side of a tank or dock.
5-Foot Reach
The defining feature of this MGM dipping net is its 5-foot overall reach.
The longer handle is useful for:
- Large bait tanks
- Dockside bait pens
- Live bait wells
- Holding tanks
- Boats with deeper livewells
- Reaching bait below the waterline
It's a simple advantage, but one that makes a noticeable difference when you're working with larger bait systems.
Designed for Live Bait
A dedicated minnow dipping net makes it easier to retrieve bait quickly while minimizing unnecessary handling.
Use it for common Florida live baits including:
- Pilchards
- Threadfin Herring
- Pinfish
- Sardines
- Small Finger Mullet
- Shrimp
- Other Small Baitfish
Useful Around the Boat or Dock
The longer handle makes this net especially practical around marinas, docks and larger boats, where a traditional hand net may simply be too short.
Keep one near the bait tank or livewell so you're not improvising with a landing net every time you need another bait.
Features
- 5-foot long-handle design
- Designed for dipping minnows and live bait
- Extended reach for deeper bait tanks and livewells
- Convenient for dockside bait pens
- Easy access to live bait without excessive reaching
- Suitable for freshwater and saltwater bait applications
- Simple, purpose-built design
Best For
- Live Bait Fishing
- Bait Tanks
- Livewells
- Bait Pens
- Marinas & Docks
- Pilchards
- Threadfin Herring
- Pinfish
- Shrimp
- Freshwater Minnows
Why Choose a 5' Minnow Net?
For a small livewell, a short bait net works fine. Once you're dealing with a larger bait tank, dockside pen or deeper livewell, the extra reach becomes much more useful.
The MGM 5' Minnow Dipping Net gives you that reach without forcing you to use an oversized fish-landing net for a job it's not designed to do.
Premier Tackle Take
The MGM 5' Minnow Dipping Net is a straightforward piece of equipment that does one job well.
The reason to choose this over a standard bait net is the long handle. If you're reaching into a large bait tank or keeping bait in a pen alongside the dock, that extra length makes retrieving bait considerably easier.
A good choice for anglers who regularly fish with live bait and want a dedicated long-reach net.
