The Sea Star is one of our favorite Iland lures because of its unique head design. Unlike traditional trolling skirts, the vented head creates a consistent bubble trail while keeping the lure running straight, even when the seas get rough. That extra commotion often helps fish locate the lure from farther away.
Around Florida's Gulf Coast, we like running the Sea Star over a medium ballyhoo for mahi, blackfin tuna, sailfish, and wahoo. It also fishes exceptionally well by itself when predators are feeding aggressively.
