Built for serious offshore anglers, the Daiwa Tanacom 800 Electric Reel delivers unmatched power, speed, and reliability for deep dropping, swordfishing, tilefish, grouper, and other demanding offshore applications. Designed with upgraded performance and a more compact, efficient drive system, the Tanacom 800 is built to handle trophy fish and deep-water battles with confidence.
Featuring an impressive 660 yards of 80 lb test Daiwa J-Braid capacity—over 220 yards more than the previous Tanacom 750—the Tanacom 800 gives anglers more depth range and greater flexibility for offshore fishing. With 30% faster retrieval speed and 20% more motor power, plus up to 22 lbs of winding power, this reel is engineered to make deep drops easier and fish retrieval faster and more efficient.
One of the biggest upgrades is the redesigned motor and gearing system, now housed inside the spool itself instead of mounted externally. This innovative design improves balance, power transfer, and overall reel efficiency while maintaining Daiwa’s proven dependability. Combined with a rigid frame, rust-resistant bearings, and sealed electronics, the Tanacom 800 is ready for the harshest saltwater environments.
The easy-to-read LCD display and sealed electronic control system allow simple operation with selectable power assist settings, automatic stop functions, and jigging features. Whether manually fighting fish with the Power Lever or relying on electric retrieval, the Tanacom 800 gives offshore anglers complete control.
