Description

Built for serious offshore anglers targeting extreme depths and big game species, the Daiwa Seaborg 800MJ Electric Reel delivers unmatched lifting power, smooth electric performance, and precise control for deep drop fishing along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

At the core of the Seaborg 800MJ is Daiwa’s advanced Mega Torque Motor, engineered to deliver power comparable to the legendary Marine Power 3000. With approximately 1.3x greater power and speed than previous models, it provides the strength needed to retrieve heavy rigs and battle large fish from deep water—while maintaining smooth, quiet operation.

Key Performance Features

  • Mega Torque Motor for extreme lifting power and deep water retrieval
  • Power comparable to Marine Power 3000
  • ~1.3x increase in power and speed vs previous generation
  • Megatwin system with instant high-speed / high-power switching
  • ATD (Automatic Drag System) for smooth, controlled pressure
  • Easy-to-read LCD display for precise operation
  • Quiet, high-output motor for consistent performance

Built for Offshore Durability

The Seaborg 800MJ features an advanced aluminum composite housing designed to dissipate heat and maintain peak motor performance during long fights. This ensures consistent power output when it matters most—whether you’re pulling from deep structure or fighting a big fish to the surface.

Ideal For

  • Swordfish fishing
  • Deep drop grouper and tilefish
  • Offshore tuna applications
  • Heavy bottom fishing
  • Electric deep dropping in extreme depths
  • Big game offshore fishing setups

Why It Works on the Gulf Coast

Deep dropping in the Gulf demands serious power and efficiency. The Seaborg 800MJ allows anglers to fish deeper, retrieve faster, and reduce physical fatigue—making it one of the most effective tools for targeting deep water species in Florida.
