Built for serious offshore anglers who demand compact power and elite electric reel performance, the Daiwa Seaborg 500MJ Electric Reel delivers exceptional torque, smooth retrieval, and precise control for grouper, snapper, tilefish, deep drop fishing, and heavy saltwater applications. Designed for deep jigging and offshore bottom fishing, the Seaborg 500MJ offers the perfect balance of size, strength, and advanced Daiwa engineering.
The Seaborg 500MJ is one of the smallest yet most powerful compact electric reels in its class, making it ideal for anglers who want serious lifting power without the bulk of larger electric reels. Its lightweight, compact frame reduces angler fatigue while maintaining the strength needed for demanding offshore battles.
At the heart of the reel is Daiwa’s faster, more powerful Megatwin Motor system, delivering smooth and dependable performance under heavy loads. The improved design provides stronger cranking power, faster retrieval speeds, and excellent heat resistance for consistent performance during long fights and deep-water retrieves.
The convenient Jog Power Lever allows easy variable speed control directly with your thumb, giving anglers precise adjustments while keeping full control during the fight. This intuitive operating system makes deep dropping and electric jigging significantly easier and more efficient.
Designed for versatility, the Seaborg 500MJ performs exceptionally well across multiple offshore fishing roles—from deep dropping for grouper and tilefish to deep jigging and bottom fishing for powerful saltwater species.
