Costa Del Mar Jose Polarized Fishing Sunglasses

The Costa Del Mar Jose Polarized Fishing Sunglasses are a classic performance frame built for anglers who spend serious time on the water. Named in honor of legendary angler, adventurer and explorer Jose Wejebe, the Jose combines maximum-coverage wraparound styling with Costa’s proven 580 polarized lens technology.

Designed with a Large frame and regular fit, the Jose works well for anglers with average-size faces who want substantial coverage without stepping into an oversized XL frame. Its Base 8 Decentered lens curve wraps closely around the face to help reduce peripheral light and glare in bright fishing conditions.

Whether you're running offshore, working an inshore shoreline or simply spending a full day around reflective water, the Jose delivers the coverage and polarized performance expected from a traditional Costa fishing frame.

Costa 580 Polarized Lens Technology

Costa’s 580 polarized lenses are engineered to reduce reflected glare while improving color and contrast on the water.

The technology filters harsh yellow light, manages high-energy blue light and enhances reds, greens and blues. The result is improved definition in the bright, reflective environments anglers regularly encounter.

Costa also applies its C-WALL® coating for additional scratch resistance and to help repel water, oil and sweat.

Maximum-Coverage Base 8 Frame

The Jose uses a Base 8 Decentered lens curve, giving the frame the close-fitting wrap associated with serious fishing sunglasses.

That design helps reduce light leakage around the sides of the lenses, providing better coverage when you're surrounded by bright sun and reflective water.

For anglers who want a traditional full-wrap Costa rather than a more casual lifestyle frame, the Jose is a proven choice.

Why Choose the Costa Jose?

The Jose occupies a nice spot in Costa's fishing lineup. It provides serious Base 8 coverage in a Large frame with a regular fit, making it a strong option for anglers who want more coverage than a smaller fishing frame without needing the XL wide fit of something like the Diego.

It also carries some genuine fishing heritage. The frame was created in honor of Jose Wejebe, whose influence on saltwater fishing remains closely associated with the Costa brand.

Premier Tackle Take

The Jose is classic Costa fishing eyewear—a high-wrap frame designed around coverage, glare reduction and long days on the water.

For Gulf Coast anglers, it works particularly well as an all-around fishing frame because the lens choice can tailor it to the application. Blue Mirror is ideal for offshore and bright open water, while Green Mirror is particularly strong for inshore and sight-fishing conditions. Costa currently offers both configurations.

If you want a traditional Costa fishing frame with substantial coverage but don't need an extra-wide XL fit, the Jose is an excellent option.
