Costa Del Mar Fantail Polarized Sunglasses

The Costa Del Mar Fantail Polarized Sunglasses are built for anglers who want premium optical performance in a compact, secure-fitting frame. Inspired by the popular Blackfin design but with a slightly narrower fit, the Fantail provides exceptional coverage, all-day comfort, and the visual clarity needed for serious fishing adventures.

Available with Costa's legendary 580® polarized lenses in either glass or polycarbonate, the Fantail enhances color, contrast, and detail while eliminating reflected glare from the water. Whether you're sight fishing shallow flats, running offshore, or scanning bridges and mangrove shorelines, these lenses help reveal subtle bottom changes, baitfish, structure, and cruising game fish that are often difficult to see with ordinary sunglasses.

The lightweight performance frame features Costa's signature 360-degree co-molded Hydrolite® lining, providing outstanding grip around the entire interior of the frame for a secure fit that stays comfortable throughout long days on the water. Built to handle demanding marine environments, the Fantail combines durability, comfort, and proven optical performance in one of Costa's most popular fishing sunglasses.

Why Costa 580® Lenses Matter

Costa's patented 580® lens technology filters harsh yellow light while enhancing reds, greens, and blues to create exceptional color definition and contrast. Combined with premium polarization, these lenses reduce glare and improve visibility beneath the water's surface, helping anglers identify grass lines, oyster bars, potholes, bait schools, and fish with greater confidence.

Why Anglers Choose the Fantail

The Fantail has remained one of Costa's most trusted fishing sunglasses because it delivers premium optics in a slightly more compact frame than the Blackfin. The secure Hydrolite® lining helps prevent slipping in hot and wet conditions, while the wraparound design blocks distracting peripheral light for improved focus on the water. Whether you're chasing redfish across the flats, targeting tarpon along the beach, or spending a full day offshore, the Fantail provides the comfort and clarity serious anglers depend on.
