Avet LX 6/3 Raptor Plus MC 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel
The Avet LX 6/3 Raptor Plus MC 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel is built for offshore anglers who demand exceptional drag performance, uncompromising durability, and complete control when battling powerful gamefish. Combining Avet's proven two-speed platform with its advanced Raptor dual-drag system and Magic Cast (MC) adjustable cast control, this reel delivers the versatility needed for trolling, live bait fishing, bottom fishing, jigging, and kite fishing.
Precision machined in the USA from marine-grade aluminum, the LX 6/3 Raptor Plus MC is engineered to withstand years of hard use in harsh saltwater environments. Every component is designed for strength and reliability, from the rigid one-piece frame to the stainless steel gearing and corrosion-resistant bearings that keep the reel operating smoothly trip after trip.
The heart of the Raptor series is Avet's exclusive Dual Drag System, which applies drag pressure from both sides of the spool to produce tremendous stopping power while maintaining a smooth, consistent drag curve. This design reduces spool flex under heavy loads, increases drag efficiency, and gives anglers the confidence to fish heavier braided lines and higher drag settings without sacrificing control.
The two-speed transmission allows instant shifting between high gear for quickly recovering line and low gear for maximum cranking power when fighting large fish deep below the boat. Whether you're working a vertical jig hundreds of feet down or trying to turn a hard-charging amberjack away from structure, the ability to shift gears gives you a significant advantage throughout the fight.
Avet's Magic Cast (MC) System provides externally adjustable spool control, making casting live baits easier while reducing the likelihood of overruns. From sardines and threadfin herring to pinfish and mullet, anglers can fine-tune the reel for varying bait sizes, wind conditions, and casting techniques with a simple adjustment.
The LX 6/3 Raptor Plus MC is equally comfortable pulling dredges, slow trolling live baits, vertical jigging wrecks, dropping baits on offshore reefs, or targeting pelagic species around weed lines and offshore structure. Its compact size offers an excellent balance between line capacity, cranking power, and all-day fishability.
Designed for serious offshore anglers, this reel is ideal for targeting grouper, snapper, amberjack, kingfish, cobia, blackfin tuna, yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo, sailfish, and smaller blue marlin. It also excels as a versatile Gulf Coast reel for deep dropping, live bait fishing, and bottom fishing where dependable drag performance is critical.
Whether you're fishing the Gulf of Mexico, the Florida Keys, or traveling offshore around the world, the Avet LX 6/3 Raptor Plus MC delivers the power, refinement, and reliability that have made Avet one of the most trusted names in offshore fishing.
