Description

Built for the most demanding offshore applications, the Daiwa Seaborg 1200M Electric Reel delivers maximum lifting power, advanced control, and elite deep-water performance for anglers targeting true big game species along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Designed for swordfish, deep drop grouper, tilefish, tuna, and heavy offshore use, the Seaborg 1200M stands at the top of Daiwa’s electric reel lineup—built to perform where standard reels simply cannot.

Power & Performance

At the core of the Seaborg 1200M is Daiwa’s advanced Mega Torque Motor, engineered to deliver power comparable to the legendary Marine Power 3000. With approximately 1.3x greater power and speed than previous models, it provides the lifting strength needed to retrieve heavy rigs and control large fish from extreme depths—while maintaining smooth, efficient operation.

Advanced Control & Technology

  • Megatwin system with instant high-speed / high-power switching
  • Jog Power Lever for precise one-handed control
  • ATD (Automatic Drag System) for smooth, consistent pressure
  • Easy-to-read English version LCD display for simple operation

Built for Extreme Offshore Durability

The Seaborg 1200M features a rugged aluminum composite housing designed to dissipate heat and maintain consistent motor performance during long fights. Paired with Magsealed ball bearings, an oversized SiC line guide, and a rigid internal structure, this reel is built to withstand harsh offshore conditions and heavy use.

Ideal For

  • Swordfish fishing in deep water
  • Deep drop grouper and tilefish
  • Offshore tuna and big game fishing
  • Heavy bottom fishing applications
  • Electric deep dropping in extreme depths
  • Charter captains and serious offshore anglers

Why It Works on the Gulf Coast

Fishing deep in the Gulf requires serious equipment capable of handling depth, weight, and powerful fish. The Seaborg 1200M allows anglers to fish deeper, retrieve more efficiently, and reduce fatigue—making it one of the most effective tools for offshore success.
